Merano Old Town Festival
Every other year in August
This biennial town festival is a three-day event where locals and tourists can taste traditional delicacies, enjoy good music and participate in exciting activities. And there is also a special programme for the children.

The Merano Forst Grand Prix
Last Sunday in September
One of the most famous and highest-paidhorse races in Europe takes place every year on the racecourse of Merano. Riders and horses travel from all over the world to participate in this 5 km long, 24-obstacle race. If you are visiting us in September, this is an opportunity you may not want to miss.

Merano Grape Festival
Mid-October (Friday to Sunday)

Merano WineFestival
Early November
One of the best-known wine fairs in Europe, the Merano WineFestival attracts throngs of locals and tourists every year. The programme includes wine tastings and degustation of delicacies from all over the world, lectures and guided tours as well as award ceremonies – all about the wine theme, of course.

Merano Christmas Market
End of November – Early January

  • If you prefer self-catering in these times, book one of our 8 holiday apartments in the Residence with its own kitchenette and refrigerator – here you can enjoy your holiday all to yourself. If you wish, we will even bring a breakfast basket directly to your holiday apartment.
  • At Hotel & Residence Zirmerhof we guarantee meticulous cleanliness as always. Several times a day, our employees clean and disinfect all areas and surfaces with high-quality antiviral agents.
  • The outdoor pool and the outdoor sauna with mountain view are open, as well as the indoor wellness area with indoor pool, relaxation rooms & saunas.
  • In the restaurant area, too, the safety distances are always observed: At our buffets you can serve yourself with appropriate protective measures.
  • Avoiding contacts is nowhere as easy as here in South Tyrol! During our guided hikes in the boundless nature and in the mountains, you can enjoy your holiday far away from the crowds, even in times of COVID-19.
