Hiking in Merano and Environs

I am a trained alpine guide specialising in guided excursions in South Tyrol and the area of Merano in particular. At the Zirmerhof, I am the one in charge of leisurely hikes and easy summit tours. My favourite destinations are the quaint high-mountain areas of the Passiria/Passeiertal valley, still partially unspoilt. I like to take hiking tours off the beaten track, looking for secluded places in my beloved mountains that are rich in history and legends.

I am a hiking and MTB guide as well as an ambitious hiker and cyclist myself. Long excursions are my speciality and as a bike guide I have experience with transalpine tours, so I can teach guests a few interesting tricks. You think you would never be able to manage a high-altitude hike? I’ll show you otherwise! At the Zirmerhof I am also known as a natural born motivator, and I have always managed to bring our guests to unprecedented heights!

I am a nature lover and a hiking guide at the South Tyrolean Alpine Association (Alpenverein Südtirol). If you are looking for a happy face to accompany you on leisurely tours in the mountains, I am your woman! I know the Merano area like the back of my hand and I love to hike in good company. And if the weather is not hiker-friendly, at the Zirmerhof there are plenty of other ways to spend a pleasurable day.
